The pricing and guarantee below describe how it will work once appeal packets become paid, after beta. We’ll always tell you before anything changes.
When we prepare your appeal packets, you pay a one-time fee of 10% of the first-year property-tax savings we estimate, with a minimum base preparation fee. That is all you ever pay us — we never take a percentage of your savings in later years, and if the City ends up saving you more than we forecast, we never charge you more.
Our estimate is just that — an estimate — so we stand behind it. Once the City’s decision is on the public record, if your actual first-year savings come in below what we forecast, we refund the difference so you never pay more than 10% of what you actually save. If your appeal isn’t granted at all, that refund brings you back down to the base preparation fee.
It is uncommon — and we only recommend filing when the evidence points to a reduction — but a review board can adjust an assessment in either direction. In the rare case an appeal leads the City to raise your assessment, we refund your fee in full, base preparation fee included. You pay us nothing.
The base fee covers the work of building your packets — the comparable-sales exhibit and the official, pre-filled Board of Revision of Taxes appeal form. Because that work is done regardless of the outcome, the base fee is the floor of the guarantee: refunds never go below it, except where an appeal raised your assessment (above), in which case we refund it too. The guarantee covers the ALKARTIS fee only — not any City filing fees or third-party costs — and is not a promise of any specific dollar amount of savings.
Request a refund from your account within 30 days of your appeal decision. We verify the outcome against the City’s published assessment — the same public record anyone can check — compute the amount owed, and refund it to your original payment method, typically within a few business days.
Every verdict is built from the City’s own recorded sales and current assessments, and we track each appeal’s outcome against the City’s published values. Because the evidence and the result are both public record, the guarantee is something we can verify openly rather than ask you to take on faith. ALKARTIS is an independent company and is not affiliated with the City of Philadelphia; the Board of Revision of Taxes makes the final decision on any appeal.
